ROLLER CONVEYOR BELT

 DESCRIPTION OF THE UNIBLOC “PSV” ROLLER in the design and construction of this roller has considered all those factors necessary to give it high efficiency, a long life with low maintenance, and a high load capacity.

 

ROLLER SHELL

Both ends of a steel tube section are machined to close tolerances according to RULMECA standards.

 

ROLLER END-CAP

The end-cap is cold formed from steel sheet and finished to ISO M7 standards for the bearing and seal.

 

UNIBLOC

The roller end-caps are welded together to form one strong unit balanced and true to its axis.

 

SHAFT

The steel shaft has work surfaces ground to ISO h6 standards to guarantee the proper fit and true rotation of the bearings along this axis.

 

BEARING

Assemles rigid radial ball bearings of leading brand names, Series 6204 – 6205 – 6206 – 6305.

 

SEAL

The seal is made up of a series of elements to retain the lubricant and at the same time keep out any foreign matter. A heavy anti-corrosive shield protects all inside elements against impact. The outer seal ring is made of a rubber resistant to ageing and it seals against the shaft and cover cap. The plastic labyrinth seal is directly under this steel cap and it blocks any penetration of dust, debris, liquids and fumes which could shorten bearing life. Any space left is filled with a special grease resistant to breakdown due to age, temperature, oxidation and corrosive agents. The inner seal ring between the bearing and housing keeps this lubricant in and condensation out. Thus, permanent lubrication is guaranteed for the life of the roller.

 

This seal assembly in no way interferes with the “PSV” roller’s low starting resistance.

 

BALANCE

Automatic self-centering equipment and concentric welding heads ensure optimum trueness and balance. This permits use at high speeds with an absence of vibrations and out of balance forces, which can damage bearings and seals.

 

FINAL INSPECTION

Each “PSV” series roller is subjected to test running at maximum r.p.m. to verify that it is quality built and well balanced. This high speed running also ensures even distribution of the grease in the housing and labyrinth around the bearing.
